3-1/2" Base - Landing Newel - Characteristics: The Starting Box Newel features a ‘see-through’ center section above a solid base. The Starting Newel Cap (4191C) can be specified in either Oak or Poplar. The solid Landing Newel is designed for use as a single hardwood base and cap – in Oak or Poplar – or, as a Poplar base with contrasting Oak Cap (4175OC).

This product can be custom ordered in several other wood species. Stair Parts stocks Hard White Maple, Northern Red Oak, Mahogany, Cherry and Poplar.

Requirements:
Interior
use only. Proper manufacture requires providing the stair�s
rise, run, handrail height, tread width, and location of baluster
on the tread. Product should be stored indoors in dry environment.
Installation
Details:
Each
Hyannis Baluster is an assembled unit, custom manufactured to
match the rise and run of the stair. The baluster height is
determined by the rail height requirements of your local building
codes. The System is designed for installation with Hyannis Box
Newels. Plowed handrail and fillet are required for proper
installation. Poplar product should be primed and painted. Refer
to local Building Codes for handrail heights.
